I drove over last week to visit Pullman for some RHESSys training. RHESSys is the water-ecosystem model I will use to simulate the specific dry forests in the project area of eastern WA and northern ID. Janet Choate from the Tague Team Lab provided the training and Jenny Adam's lab hosted the training. There were about 15 of us students. Tung Nguyen, from Jenny's lab, was a huge help to get me up and running - since he simulating RHESSys with a groundwater module to look at groundwater sustainable use several watersheds in eastern WA.

I also took advantage of the nice weather and took some detours out by Cle Elum to enjoy the beautiful fall colors (see pics). Also - luckily I left on Wednesday - the College Game Day show was coming to Pullman and the police had already preemptively declared a state of emergency in Pullman because they anticipated so many fans flooding into town!
