Welcome to the Northwest Forest Thinning Project website!

The purpose of the Northwest Forest Thinning project is to study how forest thinning in the Northwest US impacts forests and streamflow, and communicate those results to forest owners and managers. This site is meant to be both a source of both general information and updates on the project. I (Ryan) lead our team of hydrologists and extension foresters from UC Santa Barbara, Washington State University, and University of Idaho. Follow the project on twitter at NwThinning
