Mt Adams WFFA meeting: First Stakeholder Workshop is in the Books!

Drove down last Saturday to Glenwood, WA to introduce the NW Forest Thinning project to the Mt Adams chapter of the Wa Farm Forestry Association. It was a great meeting! The small forest owners are all very engaged. Here's my tweet about it. There's some pics on the tweet, but I added a few more images here.

Here is the pine flats site that the Mt Adams Resource Stewards manages. They did thinning and prescribed fire at this site. The foreground is all their site, but in the background is part of a wildlife refuge that has not received any thinning or prescribed fire. Note on the un-thinned site in the background the plethora of small trees and higher density of trees.
